Rob: Hey everybody, Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the PTC custom engine air filter on our 2018 Chevrolet Colorado. Now, a lot of us tend to forget about the filters in our vehicle. We remember to put fuel in our truck and we remember if we have that reminder on the dash to change the oil, but filters are typically one of the last things we think about, but the air filter is the first line of defense in protecting your engine, because it's going to make sure that all the air going into the engine is clean with no debris. It's also going to make sure that we get the maximum performance and fuel mileage out of the engine that's in our truck. So making sure that we check it and change it when it is dirty is going to make sure we get the best out of both worlds.Our air filter is going to be a direct replacement for the factory one. It's extremely easy to put in. more

Rob: Rob here etrailer.com and today we're gonna be taking a look at the PTC Custom Engine Air Filter on our 2016 Chevrolet Colorado. Now, a lot of people don't even think about checking or changing the air filter because it's one of those maintenance items that we really don't think about it until we're at the service center getting an oil change. And somebody says, "Oh hey, your filters dirty. Do you want us to put it in there for you" Well, a lot of us think about it and we're like, "Nah, I can do it. I'm not worried about it." Changing your filter and checking it is an extremely easy thing, but if we forget and we don't do it, we're robbing our engine of fuel economy and performance because all of that dirt is going to get clogged up in the filter and it's going to rob the engine of the air that it needs.We're going to go ahead and check our air filter is going to be on the passenger side of our Colorado, and if it's dirty we can go on and replace it with our new one. If we find the air box here, we're going to have several Phillips head screws are holding it in place, so we can either grab a Phillips bit or a screwdriver and we're going to loosen those up.Now I do want to mention when you're loosening these screws up, they'll loosen up, but they're not going to come all the way out. more
